Hi, I’m Ashley Ihemelu.

I’m a 200 hour certified yoga instructor in Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, a level I & II certified reiki practitioner, a certified Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner through the NTA, completed Emily Morrow’s MBCE (Master Blood Chem with Em) course, and a MNBP certified through Susan Cachey’s HTMA Success: Hair Analysis & Mineral-Nutritional Balancing Practitioner Course.

In a serendipitous turning point in life, I had the opportunity to work with a holistic doctor at a Nutritional Wellness Center in Plano, TX. This milestone changed my life forever and reminded me of my innate wisdom, timeless nutritional truths, and solidified the fact that healing doesn’t come from a deficit and a pill bottle, but instead a lifestyle that matches that of our ancestors. This experience ignited my passion for helping people find the root cause of their dysfunction and actually heal from chronic illness. After being a stay at home mom I received my certification as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner which expanded on the knowledge and experience gained at the Nutritional Wellness Center where I used to work. To better help my clients find answers to their signs and symptoms I recently completed Emily Morrow’s MBCE course where I learned to recognize ‘red flags’ and risk factors through optimal functional ranges from blood panels. This knowledge on blood chemistry paired with utilizing bioresonance scans through Rooted in Wellness helps me build upon my knowledge of foundational health and nutrition. Using all my evaluation tools I’m able to create a roadmap for my clients to find optimal health and healing. While I feel like I have been in the holistic health space most of my life, this field is ever changing and new information is always emerging. I’m passionate about learning and staying up to date with the latest trends, fads and the always consistent ancestral wisdom that we are now relearning to gain a better understanding about what true health and wellness is and how one can obtain it.
