How Grounding can Positively impact your Chronic Illness

Who doesn’t love free medicine?! I do. And grounding/earthing is one of my favorites. Grounding or Earthing refers to the discovery that bodily contact with the Earth’s natural electric charge stabilizes our physiology at the deepest levels. It is the simple practice of walking barefoot outdoors. No different than the fact that vitamin D in our body is produced by energy and frequencies generated from the sun, 93 million miles away. The Earth right under our feet provides unique energy and frequencies that directly influence our body. Some benefits from grounding include: reduces inflammation, pain and stress, improves blood flow, energy, and sleep, and generates a greater well-being. Such effects can be profound, systemic and foundational; and often develop rapidly. Around 20 studies to date have reported evidence of wide and significant physiological improvements when the body is grounded vs. non-grounded.

This healing modality seemed impossible, undesirable and hard to find time for in Dallas. While it’s easier and more inviting here in Costa Rica, it’s important to find your happy place where your feet meet the Earth wherever you are in the world.
